When Swallows Fly High (2024) is a performance and video work that explores themes of absurdity, alienation, and transformation. In the short film (3'10"), a weary, alien-like businessman trudges along an abandoned railway track, burdened by his heavy-looking suitcase. The performance brings the awkward protagonist to life as he navigates a new city, struggling with staircases and curbs. Along the way, he takes his moments to pause—enjoying an ice cream or stopping to pet a cute dog.
