De Ontmoeting (2020, translated as The Encounter) is a one-minute analogue animation composed of 60 hand-drawn frames. The film tells the story of an elderly man watering a flower in his garden when he unexpectedly comes face-to-face with his own shadow. The animation is accompanied by self-written and performed piano music.
